ICU RN – Job Description
Department: ICU RN
Shift: 12H Days
Shift Time: 0630–1830
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Charting System: EPIC
Trauma Level: II
Clinical Responsibilities
- RNs are required to titrate drips.
- Common titratable and/or set-rate drips include any cardiac drip, insulin, and sedation.
- RNs are required to read, interpret, and document telemetry strips.
- Monitor brand: GE, with tele tech oversight.
- Respiratory equipment includes vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow.
- RNs are responsible for troubleshooting respiratory equipment, including nasal cannula to vent.
- Nurse aides are available based on census and may sit in 1:1s or assist on the floor as needed.
- Healthcare Support Tech available 3 days per week, Monday–Friday, 0800–1630.
Certifications Required
Radius Rule
- Candidate must reside outside 50 miles of the facility.
- Driver's license is required at submittal and will be used to determine if the candidate is outside 50 miles.
- Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
