- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Schedule Notes: Weekends as needed; first to float
- Orientation: 1-2 shifts depending on experience
- Unit Size: 10 beds
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience required
- Open to first-time travelers
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong critical care skills with the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic ICU
- Ability to safely titrate critical care drips
- Comfortable reading rhythms and strips independently
- Epic charting experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill ICU patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, heart failure, strokes, GI bleeds, and post-code recovery
- Monitor, assess, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition in a high-acuity critical care setting
- Titrate and manage drips as ordered, including Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, Vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team, including hospitalist support and telehealth intensivist coverage
- Support respiratory care needs with access to vents, high flow, and BiPAP equipment
- Float as needed to telemetry and other ICU settings while maintaining safe patient assignments
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold professional, clean, and appropriate attire standards
