- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Weekly Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week, typically 3 shifts per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or half of the weekends
- Floating: May float to other ICU settings in the area and, at times, serve as a 1:1 sitter outside the ICU
- Charting System: EPIC
- Openings: 3
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Experience titrating drips in a critical care setting
- Ability to care for high-acuity ICU patients with confidence and adaptability
- Strong teamwork skills and the flexibility to float as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Monitor and manage complex patient conditions, including cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, and metabolic diagnoses
- Titrate and manage common ICU drips such as dopamine, epinephrine, norepinephrine, cardene, nitro, vasopressin, diltiazem, insulin, and esmolol
- Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and support staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Assess, document, and respond to changes in patient condition promptly and accurately
- Use EPIC for charting and clinical documentation
- Support patient care across the ICU and other assigned units when floated
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and excellent communication throughout the travel nursing assignment
