Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) travel assignment. The role involves working in a high-acuity care setting, catering to medical ICU patients. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing complex cases, including respiratory and renal failure, sepsis, and hemodynamic instability. This opportunity is open to both experienced travel nurses and first-time travelers with the required ICU background.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care to medical ICU patients, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, and other complex conditions
  • Manage ventilators, trachs, and chronic ventilator patients
  • Administer and monitor vasoactive medications and invasive lines
  • Assist with bedside procedures, including chest tube and tracheostomy management
  • Collaborate with support staff, including CNAs and respiratory therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care

Qualifications

Required:

  • NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience
  • Skills in trach care, chest tube management, and insulin/heparin drips
  • Experience with management of invasive lines and vasoactive medications
  • Proficient in managing patients on ventilator support

Preferred:

  • CCRN (critical care nursing certification)
