ICU Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Waynesboro, Pennsylvania
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950–$2,060
• Assignment Type: 13-week ICU travel nursing contract
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; three 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• Typical Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Unit Profile: 10-bed intensive care unit with an average daily census of 8 patients
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday coverage as needed, including participation in upcoming major holiday scheduling
• Floating: May float to Med-Surg or support emergency department holds as needed

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from an accepted accrediting organization
• EPIC electronic health record charting experience required
• Strong critical care assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to provide care for patients requiring isolation precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment
• Willingness to float and work scheduled weekends and holidays as needed
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Manage patients with complex cardiac, respiratory, and medical conditions
• Monitor and titrate cardiac and vasoactive medication infusions according to clinical protocols
• Perform arterial line management and central line care
• Provide care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP and CPAP therapies
• Perform airway suctioning, including endotracheal and nasotracheal suctioning
• Apply dysrhythmia management knowledge and respond effectively to changes in cardiac rhythm
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EPIC
• Maintain a safe environment while following infection prevention, isolation, and patient care standards
