High-acuity ICU travel nursing opportunity in Towson, MD, just outside Baltimore. We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse who excels in critical care, thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment, and is confident caring for complex adult and geriatric patients.

Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Critical Care RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Towson, Maryland 21204
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within scope to IMC, CSU, telemetry, and lower acuity areas as needed
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,850 to $1,950

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• CPI certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or equivalent required
• Strong experience caring for adult and geriatric ICU patients; adolescent experience is a plus
• Comfortable using Epic or similar electronic health record (EHR) charting systems preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill medical and surgical ICU patients
• Monitor and manage ventilators, CRRT, IABP, and other advanced critical care equipment
• Titrate vasoactive drips, sedation, and other pressor medications per protocol
• Care for patients with diagnoses including sepsis, ARDS, MI, chest pain, pneumonia, post-op cardiac and neuro cases, and respiratory failure
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures such as arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, and ECMO-related care as appropriate
• Safely float within scope to provide support across related higher and lower acuity units
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection prevention, safety, and compliance standards
