Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Current CPI certification
• NIHSS certification required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic experience preferred
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric critical care patients
• Ability to manage a 2:1 patient ratio in a high-acuity setting
• Comfortable floating within scope to related patient care areas

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, pressor drips, sedation, and other advanced therapies
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, ARDS, cardiogenic shock, post-op recovery, chest pain, and cardiac medical conditions
• Perform and assist with advanced critical care interventions, including arterial line care, central line management, CRRT, IABP, and prone positioning
• Titrate vasoactive medications, sedatives, and cardiac drips according to patient condition and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV team, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response staff
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment in a busy critical care unit
