Travel ICU Registered Nurse – Adult Critical Care Contract in Towson, Maryland

This ICU RN contract offers the opportunity to care for high-acuity adult patients while working with a collaborative interdisciplinary team in a well-supported, multi-specialty critical care environment.

Job Details

• Setting: Adult ICU, multi-specialty critical care
• Location: Towson, MD – Baltimore metro area
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,850–$1,950
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float within specialty and to lower-acuity units as needed
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Unit Environment: 28-bed ICU with a daily census of 10–14 patients

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact Registered Nurse license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Strong comfort caring for adult and geriatric critical care patients
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic unit and float within scope as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical needs
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in condition for patients requiring advanced critical care
• Titrate cardiac, vasoactive, sedation, and pressor infusions as ordered
• Care for patients on ventilators, CRRT, and other advanced ICU equipment
• Support patients with sepsis, ARDS, cardiac events, neurological conditions, post-op recovery, and respiratory failure
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other support services
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate patient status effectively to the care team
• Promote safe, compassionate, high-quality care in a busy critical care environment
