• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 - $1,700

• Patient Ratio: 1:2 to 1:3
• Schedule Expectations: Every other weekend and holidays in rotation
• Floating: May float to ED or PCU for ICU/PCU holds
• Documentation: Meditech experience preferred
• Dress Code: Navy uniform

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• At least 1 year of ICU experience required; 3 years of RN experience preferred
• Prior CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Ability to care for 1-3 ICU patients with confidence
• Comfort managing ventilated patients in a critical care environment
• Proficiency in reading telemetry strips and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Experience with bedside shift report
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• BSN preferred
• Advanced certifications and TNCC preferred
• Previous successful travel assignment preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to critically ill adult patients in a mixed ICU setting
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced cardiac and hemodynamic support
• Care for post-op CABG patients, patients with Impella or balloon pumps, Swan Ganz monitoring, and advanced hemodynamic needs
• Support neuro ICU cases including aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, EVDs, bolts, and targeted temperature management
• Assess, stabilize, and intervene for patients with complex and rapidly changing conditions
• Perform bedside shift report for every handoff to promote patient safety and continuity of care
• Float as needed to support ED or PCU holds when assigned
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care
• Use strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills in a high-acuity environment
