Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week contract requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and NIH Stroke Certification.

Details

• Work in a 14-bed ICU with adjoining 20-bed Med/Surg unit
• ICU patient ratio of 1:2, Med/Surg ratio of 1:5
• Unit staffed with 1 PCA and 1 UC support staff
• Critical care procedures performed on the unit
• Uses standard equipment and Meditech documentation system
• Rotating 12-hour shifts (7a-7:30p / 7p-7:30a) with rotating weekends every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Floating required as needed per facility policy

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Vasopressor management experience required
• Meditech experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services to ICU and Med/Surg patients
• Navy scrub top and pants required, with navy or white scrub jacket
• Clean and healthy nail policy enforced, hair must be neat with no extreme styles
• Tattoos should be covered when possible and visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• Cohesive, experienced unit team environment
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
