Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide critical patient care and support within the intensive care unit.

Unit Highlights

Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Number of Beds: 14 ICU, 20 Med/Surg
Patient Ratios: 1:2 in ICU, 1:5 in Med/Surg
Staffing Description: 1 Patient Care Assistant and 1 Unit Clerk
Documentation System: Meditech

Shift Details

Shift: 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. / 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Weekend Requirements: Rotating schedule
Call Requirements: None
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

Active RN License in Texas (temporary licenses are not accepted)
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
Experience with NIH and vasoactive medications

Preferred Skills

Experience with Meditech Documentation System

Dress Code

The following dress code applies:

Scrub Color: Navy scrubs (top and pant), navy or white scrub jacket
Nail Policy: Clean and in good condition
Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors
Facial hair: Mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible.
Piercings: Only ear piercings are permitted; other visible piercings are prohibited

Additional Information

We are looking for candidates who are team-oriented and demonstrate a positive and caring attitude towards patients. Exceptional patient care and safety are paramount. Candidates should be prepared to float as needed per unit policies.
