About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team for a 13-week assignment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Rotation: Required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 14 in ICU, 20 in Med/Surg
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 in ICU, 1:5 in Med/Surg
• Unit Staff Composition: 1 Patient Care Assistant (PCA), 1 Unit Coordinator (UC)
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Floating Policy: As needed

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Active Texas RN License (Temp Licenses not accepted)
• ACLS Certification
• BLS Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Experience with NIH Stroke Scale and vasopressors

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation system

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Navy scrub top and pants; navy or white scrub jacket
• Nails: Must be clean and healthy
• Hair: Should be neat, clean, and non-extreme in style or color
• Facial Hair: Mustaches and beards should be clean and trimmed
• Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
