Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in en_US The organization seeks experienced ICU nurses to provide high-quality care in a 30-bed medical-surgical and progressive care unit. The position involves managing complex patient cases including respiratory support, intravenous medications, and cardiac monitoring, with a focus on safe patient outcomes and critical thinking skills.
Job Details
- Location: en_US
- Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) required
- Education Requirements: RN license in a SD or compact state
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in ICU or Medical-Surgical setting
- Schedule: Straight night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, working every other weekend and holiday
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, completing unit-specific orientation, and adhering to dress code of navy blue scrubs
- Orientation program includes competency validation, online modules, and shift onboarding at the organizations LEAD center
- The position requires the ability to manage respiratory support devices such as BiPAP, CPAP, Heated High Flow, and oxygen titration, as well as moderate sedation and telemetry
- Submission Requirements: Candidate must be licensed to submit and have at least 1 year of experience in the specialty
