The position requires experience in titrating vasopressor drips and operating with EPIC charting systems, with a focus on providing high-quality, independent critical care.

Job Details

  • Location: Fargo
  • Shift Time: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Certification Requirements: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
  • Education and Experience: Must have at least 2 years of ICU RN experience in a facility with over 250 beds, experience with level 1 trauma center, and ability to care for critically ill patients independently.
  • Responsibilities include managing 1-3 critically ill patients, titrating vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, and antiarrhythmics, and assisting with bedside procedures such as RSI, line placement, and diagnostic tests.
  • Clinical Equipment used includes EPIC EMR, Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinets, IV pumps, IABP, EVD, Phillips Patient Monitoring Systems, and Impella.
  • Orientation: 32 hours of comprehensive training over the first week, including hospital, unit, intermediate ICU, and Broadway ICU orientations.
  • Schedule: All shifts are nights, floating to critical care units and med-surg units as needed, with every other weekend and holiday off.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional notes: Candidates must call in daily to confirm the unit/location and must not have worked for the organization within the last 6 months if previously employed there.
