Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position is located in a large medical facility within the state of Indiana. The role involves caring for critically ill patients on a mixed acuity unit, primarily managing progressive care patients and some ICU patients. The position requires flexibility to float across ICU, progressive care, and Medsurg units, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week starting on August 24, 2026.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, with weekday and weekend rotation.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license, minimum of 2 years ICU experience, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), and at least 1.5 years of ICU experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 facility preferred, travel experience preferred, and familiarity with mixed acuity units.
  • Additional Information: The unit utilizes Phillips heart monitors, Epic electronic medical records system, Pyxis medication dispensing system, EKG machine, and dopplers. The unit has 24 beds in the ICU and 12 beds in progressive care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 in ICU, and 1:3 or 1:4 in progressive care depending on transfers. The dress code includes Caribbean blue scrubs with black or white jackets. Orientation includes onboarding through workforce development, potential float to other units, and up to 24 hours can be canceled per 13-week contract.
