Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is located in a mixed acuity unit environment. The role involves caring for ventilated patients, initiating and titrating intravenous drips such as vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics, and assisting with procedures including intubations and line placements. The unit primarily manages patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, myocardial infarctions, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia. The nurse will float across ICU, progressive care, and medical-surgical units, maintaining a patient ratio of up to 1:3, with a focus on progressive patients more frequently than ICU patients.
