The position involves floating across multiple facilities within Region Two, supporting various critical and medical-surgical patients, including ventilator management and telemetry interpretation.

Job Details

  • Position Description: ICU nurse required to support a unit with 4 ICU beds and 19 medical beds, with potential to convert beds to ICU or progressive care unit (PCU) if needed. The role involves rotating through Med Surg assignments and floating across facilities in Region II, including St. Clare Hospital Lakewood, WA; St. Elizabeth Hospital Enumclaw, WA; and St Joseph Medical Center Tacoma, WA.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC certifications; 2 years of ICU experience with the ability to manage ventilators and titrate critical drips such as sedation, vasoactive medications, and paralytics. Valid licensure to submit.
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week. The schedule includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.
  • Additional Information: Must have strong skills with autonomy, good communication, and willingness to ask questions. The unit supports a virtual hospitalist and in-house emergency and specialty physicians. The ICU nurse will participate in the hospital's Code Team but is not required to function in that role unless experienced.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
