Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Texas or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• ACLS and BLS required
• NIHSS and PALS preferred or may be required for unit compliance
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong critical care skills with the ability to manage complex, high-acuity patients
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced ICU environment with adult and geriatric populations

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for ICU/CCU patients in a critical care setting
• Monitor patient status closely and respond to changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical care interventions as indicated
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Support care for patients requiring advanced monitoring and specialized ICU equipment, including CRRT
• Uphold patient safety, infection prevention, and unit protocols at all times
• Participate in weekend coverage and float assignments as needed by the schedule
