Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of recent ICU experience required; 1.5+ years preferred
  • Adult acute care experience in a high-acuity critical care setting
  • Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or a compact license; pending license may be accepted if obtained prior to start
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Ability to manage a 1:2 ICU patient assignment and adapt to floating as needed
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
  • First-time travelers welcome

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality care to adult ICU patients with complex medical needs
  • Monitor hemodynamic status, titrate drips, and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Perform and support advanced ICU interventions, including ventilator management, arterial line care, and central line management
  • Administer medications and therapies according to ICU standards and protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support patient safety, infection prevention, and excellent bedside care
  • Float to other appropriate units within scope when needed
