Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Home Health RN with active OR and WA licenses and at least 1 year of skilled home health experience.

Details

• Skilled Home Health setting serving adult patients in East Portland
• 1:1 patient ratio with up to 6 patients per day and approximately 30 productivity points per week
• 8-hour day shift schedule (8:00 AM-4:30 PM)
• Weekend support may be required
• No on-call requirement
• Service area may extend up to approximately 60 miles or 60-90 minutes of total driving per day
• Uses Home Care Home Base (HCHB), Remote Client for Home Health on laptop, Rover phone application, and OASIS documentation

Requirements

• Active Oregon and Washington RN licenses required before start date; temporary licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of skilled Home Health experience required
• OASIS experience required
• Home Care Home Base (HCHB) experience required
• Must have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver's license
• Skills include wound care, medication administration/management, IV and subcutaneous administration, phlebotomy, pain assessment, and vital sign monitoring

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include admission assessments, start of care, recertification, resumption of care, routine visits, and discharge documentation
• Facility makes efforts to group patient visits and minimize driving
• Business casual attire required; no jeans; scrubs permitted but not mandatory
• Free parking available and mileage reimbursed at the current IRS standard rate
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local clinicians accepted within a 50-75 mile radius at the same rate
• Travel pairs accepted, though each traveler is assigned their own territory and must have their own transportation
• Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 6 months and approved by HR before returning as a traveler
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
