Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and a VA PT state license (pending accepted) for a day-shift assignment.

Details

• Home Health setting providing medically prescribed physical therapy treatments
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekend coverage required approximately every 4th or 5th weekend for orthopedic cases
• Typical caseload of 6-7 weighted visits per day
• Mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required, home health experience preferred
• VA PT state license required (can be pending); license required if applicable
• CPR certification required
• MatrixCare or Epic experience preferred but not required
• Must have no history of license or background hits for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient and caregiver education, discharge planning, and documentation per policy
• Directs patient participation in tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance
• Open to first-time travelers
• RTO requests reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates with any history of fit test issues will not be considered, as facility cannot accommodate a PAPR
