Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with Homecare Homebase/OASIS experience and 2+ years of recent experience for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC.

Details

• Home health setting covering assigned zip codes within the District of Columbia based on staffing needs
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• May be required to float to cover other zip codes as needed
• Uses Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and Point Click Care EMR systems
• Mileage reimbursed from first to last patient visit each day; personal vehicle required

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• DC license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years, including OASIS-E experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 previous travel assignment
• Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and OASIS experience required
• Skills should include patient assessment, adaptive/assistive devices, body mechanics, and home exercise program instruction
• Experience with geriatric and orthopedic patient populations preferred
• Experience with COPD and CHF patient management preferred
• Must maintain a reliable personal vehicle with valid licensure and insurance

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include patient assessment, OASIS documentation, home exercise program development, and patient/family education
• Candidates must have a reliable vehicle in good standing for daily home visits
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 RTO days allowed per 13-week contract
• Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Manager interviews are not guaranteed; candidates should be comfortable proceeding without one
