Assignment Overview

Join a dynamic emergency department team providing acute care in a Level 1 trauma setting. Ideal candidates are experienced registered nurses with necessary certifications and a strong commitment to patient care. Experience in a teaching hospital and previous travel assignments are advantageous.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: 8/1/2025
  • Shift: 1P-1A, 12-hour shifts
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Trauma Level: 1
  • Department: ER
  • Number of Beds: 65 - all private, 2 trauma bays
  • Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:3-5 (variable based on acuity or needs of department)
  • Floating Requirements: Rare, typically for support roles
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend on rotation
  • Holiday Requirements: Negotiable, based on contract
  • Scrub Color: Tasteful scrubs, solid-colored shirts

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population
  • Stabilize trauma patients in a specialized unit
  • Titrate and manage a wide variety of drips and critical care equipment
  • Interpret and act on patient rhythms with the use of monitors
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the ER

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or confirmation of application process
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications
  • Proficient in critical care and handling of emergency situations
  • Experience with EPIC charting system

Preferred:

  • At least 2 years of nursing experience, including a prior travel assignment
  • Experience at a teaching hospital
  • SANE RN experience
