Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room/Department (ER/ED) team. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care settings, preferably in high-acuity environments such as a Level 1 Trauma Center. This role requires proficiency in critical patient care and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to a diverse patient population ranging from minor cases to critically ill patients.
  • Manage trauma patients in collaboration with a specialized trauma team.
  • Administer and titrate various drips necessary for critical patient management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including ED techs and respiratory therapists.
  • Interpret and act on patient monitor rhythms to ensure patient safety.
  • Participate in shift-based responsibilities as determined by scheduling management.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications
  • Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred

Preferred:

  • 2 years of nursing experience
  • Previous travel assignment experience
  • SANE RN experience
  • Experience in a teaching hospital
