Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring WI or Compact RN licensure and prior adult/pediatric ED experience.

Details

  • Work in a combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department at a Level II Trauma Center
  • Evening shift, 12-hour shifts (11:00-23:30 or 15:00-03:30) including weekends and holidays
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Floating required as needed

Requirements

  • Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required
  • Current certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must have completed at least one travel assignment of six months or longer, with extensions highly preferred
  • Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment
  • No references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies
  • Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial and central line management, and blood product administration
  • Experience managing ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and ABG interpretation preferred
  • Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
  • Familiar with isolation precautions, PPE use, and triage protocols
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • Free onsite parking available
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this role due to travel experience requirement
