Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with WI or Compact RN license and Level II Trauma Center experience for an Emergency Department position at a Level II trauma facility.

Details

  • Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric populations
  • Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certification
  • Evening (1500-0330) and Night (1900-0730) 3x12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Epic EMR required
  • Floating required as needed

Requirements

  • Active WI RN or Compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
  • Epic EMR experience required, within the past 12 months preferred
  • Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment of six months minimum, extensions highly preferred
  • Skilled in emergency care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, IV therapy, respiratory care, neurological trauma, and psychiatric emergencies
  • Experience with triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and orthopedic splinting

Additional Information

  • Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment, covering adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation
  • Care for a wide range of ER cases including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, psychiatric, pediatric, and neurological emergencies
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • Free onsite parking available
