• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: May be required

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certification required; pending NIHSS may be considered
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Strong skills in triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV starts, trauma care, and emergency interventions
• Ability to care for patients across all age groups, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Flexibility to float as needed based on clinical experience and facility policy
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Two-step PPD required

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care in a busy 54-bed ED
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with a wide range of conditions and acuity levels
• Support trauma, stroke, STEMI, and other time-sensitive emergency cases
• Perform and assist with critical interventions such as IV therapy, medication administration, and procedural monitoring
• Manage patients requiring respiratory support, sedation monitoring, and advanced emergency care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient flow and high-quality outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all facility protocols and compliance requirements
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a high-volume environment seeing approximately 220 patients per day
