Contract | 13 Weeks | Days & Nights available (3x12-hour shifts) | 7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Every other holiday required, if needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across all emergency-type diagnoses, including CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI, orthopedic trauma, and gunshot wounds
• Perform IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs; administer IV vasopressors as indicated
• Manage and monitor patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and mechanical ventilators
• Perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Conduct triage and implement appropriate isolation precautions
• Float within skillset as required; utilize special equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Single State RN license required — pending licenses are not accepted (NY is not a Compact state)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required — must be valid and included at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience required
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-acuity emergency department setting with adult and pediatric populations
• Familiarity with pediatric spinal cord injury care
• Experience with trauma care including neuro-trauma and orthopedic trauma cases
