Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a current AZ or compact license for a night shift travel position requiring 2+ years of ED experience.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department with floating between ED and CDU (Observation Unit)
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Meditech charting experience preferred but not required
  • Orientation held every Monday
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
  • Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed

Requirements

  • Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
  • ESI certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
  • Community, teaching hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Skilled in pediatric, psychiatric, and trauma patient care including IV therapy, respiratory management, and cardiac monitoring
  • Experience with emergency medications, EKG interpretation, and orthopedic splinting

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric cases
  • Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and respond to emergent situations
  • Orientation modules are non-billable and included as part of the assignment
  • First-time travelers accepted if they have more than 2 years of ED experience
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
  • Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
  • Minimal RTO requested at time of consideration, with holiday coverage required
  • Travel pairs accepted
