Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
- Specialty: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Department Nurse
- Setting: On-site Emergency Room; Level II Trauma
- Location: Newburgh, Indiana, near Evansville
- Start Date: October 5, 2026, or as soon as possible
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, excluding orientation and certain holiday closures
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Shift: Flexible evening and night coverage, with shifts ranging from 3:00 PM–7:00 AM; a mix of 3:00 PM–3:00 AM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts is required
- Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Call Requirements: No call or callback
- Floating: Not required
- Charting: Epic experience within the last year required
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse license in Indiana or a valid Compact State license
- Active AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Associate degree or nursing certificate required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Successful completion of a 12-lead EKG and dysrhythmia examination
- Recent Epic charting experience, preferably within the past year
- Level II Trauma nursing experience preferred
- Pediatric Emergency Room experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible mix of evening and night shifts, including both 3:00 PM–3:00 AM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM schedules
- Applicants must reside outside the applicable 40-mile local radius
- Strong resilience, adaptability, communication skills, and a collaborative approach to patient care
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to Emergency Room patients across a broad range of conditions and acuity levels
- Perform focused assessments, prioritize patient needs, and respond effectively to rapidly changing clinical situations
- Support care delivery in a Level II Trauma environment while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Monitor patient status, recognize clinical deterioration, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Administer medications and treatments, complete procedures, and document care accurately in Epic
- Care for adult and pediatric patients as assigned
- Participate in every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday coverage
- Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and composure during high-volume or high-acuity periods
