Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – 12-Hour Night Shift

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Newburgh, Indiana. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday

• Geographic Requirement: Applicants must reside outside the 40-mile local radius

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Indiana or a valid compact-state license
• At least 3 years of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience
• Associate degree or nursing certificate required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Recent Epic charting experience within the past year
• Successful completion of a 12-lead EKG and dysrhythmia examination
• Level II Trauma nursing experience preferred
• Pediatric emergency care experience preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled
• Adaptable, resilient, collaborative, and patient-focused approach to emergency nursing care

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide rapid assessment, triage, treatment, and ongoing monitoring for emergency department patients
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in a Level II Trauma environment
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate timely interventions
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor treatment responses in accordance with established protocols
• Use Epic to accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary staff, patients, and families
• Support care for pediatric and adult patients when needed
• Maintain calm, professional communication while managing changing priorities in a high-acuity emergency department
• Participate in required weekend, holiday, education, and competency activities
