Travel Emergency Department RN opportunity in Everett, Washington, for an experienced nurse seeking a high-acuity 13-week assignment.
Join a high-acuity Emergency Department team in Everett, Washington, and make a meaningful impact caring for patients across the lifespan. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to work in a Level II adult trauma and Level III pediatric trauma environment with exposure to stroke, STEMI, trauma, behavioral health, and critically ill patients. Everett offers a welcoming Pacific Northwest setting with scenic Puget Sound surroundings, outdoor recreation, and convenient access to the greater Seattle area.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,950
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel RN contract
- Location: Everett, Washington
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 25, 2027
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour evening shifts, approximately 2:30 p.m.–3:00 a.m.
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4
- Healthcare Setting: High-volume Emergency Department with approximately 220 visits per day and 79 treatment rooms
- Weekend Requirement: Weekends required
- Holiday Requirement: Commitment to working 3 of 5 designated holidays may be required
- Additional Scheduling: Floating to nearby affiliated locations may be required
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers may be considered with the required Emergency Department RN experience
- Active Washington Registered Nurse license or compact nursing license in hand
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- ENPC or applicable pediatric emergency certification as required for the assignment
- Epic electronic health record experience required
- Experience caring for adult and pediatric patients, including trauma and critically ill populations
- Ability to work weekends, assigned holidays, and a flexible schedule
Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, timely, and compassionate emergency nursing care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Perform triage, focused assessments, ongoing reassessments, and prioritization of care in a high-volume Emergency Department
- Care for patients with stroke, STEMI, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, behavioral health needs, and other emergent conditions
- Manage critically ill patients requiring ventilatory support, BiPAP/CPAP, IV vasopressors, continuous sedation, arterial line monitoring, and central line care
- Administer blood products, medications, and procedural sedation while monitoring patients for changes in condition
- Interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Support trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergency response processes
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
- Apply infection prevention, isolation precautions, de-escalation techniques, and evidence-based emergency nursing practices
