Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – 13-Week Contract in Everett, WA
Experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Everett, Washington. Bring your emergency nursing expertise to a high-volume Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population in a Level II adult trauma and Level III pediatric trauma environment. This assignment includes stroke, STEMI, trauma, critical care, behavioral health, and acute-care boarding cases. Located in the scenic Puget Sound region, Everett offers waterfront access, beautiful outdoor surroundings, and convenient proximity to the greater Seattle area.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,950
- Location: Everett, Washington

- Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; evening shift, typically 2:30 p.m.–3:00 a.m. or 4:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Holiday Coverage: Flexibility required; travelers should be prepared to work three of five designated holidays
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 4:1
- Charting: Epic
- Department Volume: Approximately 220 visits per day across 79 rooms
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Washington; compact license must be in hand when applicable
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current Epic experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- ENPC or PALS certification as specified for the assignment
- Experience with adult and pediatric emergency care, trauma, stroke, STEMI, and critically ill patients
- Ability to float to nearby affiliated facilities when needed
- Strong communication, prioritization, assessment, and emergency response skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and the assigned evening schedule
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, timely, and compassionate emergency nursing care to patients ranging from low acuity to critically ill
- Perform emergency assessments, triage, reassessments, interventions, and patient education
- Care for patients experiencing stroke, STEMI, trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, behavioral health crises, and other emergent conditions
- Manage patients requiring ventilatory support, BiPAP/CPAP, continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, arterial line monitoring, and central line care
- Administer blood products and procedural sedation while monitoring patients for complications
- Interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Initiate and maintain IV access, perform phlebotomy, and follow isolation and PPE protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, social services, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
- Support a respectful, calm, and trauma-informed environment, including behavioral health de-escalation
