Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of ER experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

  • Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
  • May work at multiple facility locations
  • Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
  • Cardiac monitoring and emergency response responsibilities including dysrhythmia interpretation
  • Travel pairs accepted but must have flexible schedules

Requirements

  • Active IN or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of ER specialty experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Meditech charting experience preferred
  • Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central line care
  • Experience with emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation preferred
  • Experience managing CVA, psychiatric holds, drug overdose, and violent behavior patients
  • Skilled in triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and splint application
  • Reference required within the last 12 months from a direct supervisor

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
  • Past permanent employees will not be accepted as travelers, no exceptions
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
