Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification for a combined adult/pediatric ER requiring a TX or compact RN license.

Details

  • General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
  • 36-hour, 3x12 Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Weekend shifts required
  • Epic charting system used

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Skilled in respiratory care, ventilated patient management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and central line care
  • Experience administering emergency medications and IV vasopressors
  • Proficient in triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
  • Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care across a mixed adult and pediatric patient population
  • Must complete onboarding core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility to be considered
  • Not accepted if residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties
  • Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
  • Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off must be submitted and listed at time of consideration
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
