• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend; 6 weekend shifts in each 6-week schedule
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Charting System: Cerner
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-6
• Orientation: Orientation provided at the start of assignment

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for assignment in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room / Emergency Department nursing experience required
• At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment required
• Experience caring for adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Must be comfortable working night shifts and rotating weekend coverage
• Strong clinical judgment, rapid assessment skills, and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to support a busy community hospital emergency setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients with a wide range of emergency conditions
• Initiate and manage IV access, medications, fluids, and emergency interventions
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, vital signs, and patient responses to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary support teams
• Support safe management of trauma, cardiac, neurological, behavioral health, and medical emergencies
• Maintain accurate charting and follow established Emergency Department protocols
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced healthcare environment
