Job Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license in hand
• Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care experience, with a strong Emergency Department background
• Combined adult and pediatric ED experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience managing dysrhythmias, triage, IV starts, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration
• Comfortable with procedural sedation, vasopressors, ABG interpretation, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilated patients
• Ability to care for patients with trauma, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, behavioral health, and OB/GYN emergency presentations
• Flexibility to float within the service line and scope of practice as needed
• Availability for every-other-weekend coverage

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, from neonates through geriatrics
• Perform triage, prioritize care, and respond quickly to urgent and critical patient needs
• Support evaluation and treatment of chest pain, shortness of breath, sepsis, stroke, trauma, abdominal pain, fractures, and mental health emergencies
• Assist with resuscitation, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring in a high-acuity ED environment
• Administer medications and therapies safely, including IV medications, blood products, and sedation-related care as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, triage staff, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic and follow facility protocols and safety standards
• Adapt to changing patient volumes and support float assignments within scope when needed
