• Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele)
• Location: Columbus, Ohio
• Healthcare Setting: 12-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry support
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Unit Focus: Symptom management, comfort care, and support for patients with advanced illness

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience required
• Current experience in the specialty within the last 12 months required
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to manage oxygen therapy, IV starts and maintenance, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• Experience using isolation precautions and PPE
• Must be comfortable floating to equivalent or lower acuity units as needed
• ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education preferred

RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with serious and complex medical needs
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to rhythm changes and patient status updates
• Support symptom management including pain, nausea, fatigue, and respiratory discomfort
• Provide compassionate care that promotes comfort, dignity, and quality of life
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, social services, pharmacy, PT, radiology, and rapid response resources
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with the care team
• Float within appropriate units based on staffing and patient care needs
• Follow established safety, infection prevention, and clinical practice standards
