This 13-week travel Registered Nurse assignment offers the opportunity to strengthen your Progressive Care Unit, telemetry, and med-surg clinical skills while working with a supportive interdisciplinary team and delivering high-quality patient care in Central Ohio.
Job Details
- Position: Travel Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse
- Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage required; may float to other areas as needed
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Ability to pass a telemetry test
- Telemetry nursing experience preferred and/or required
- Epic electronic medical record experience required
- Strong clinical skills in IV starts, medication administration, lab monitoring, patient education, and general nursing care
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, and central line care preferred
- Must provide 2 professional references, including at least 1 manager, director, or supervisor reference
- Education must be from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric Progressive Care Unit patients
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support ongoing treatment plans
- Assess post-surgical and medical overflow patients and document care accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare partners
- Support patient education, wound care, oxygen therapy, and rapid response efforts when needed
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficient patient flow in a step-down setting
