This 13-week travel Registered Nurse assignment offers the opportunity to strengthen your Progressive Care Unit, telemetry, and med-surg clinical skills while working with a supportive interdisciplinary team and delivering high-quality patient care in Central Ohio.

Job Details

• Position: Travel Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse
• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage required; may float to other areas as needed
• Start Date: 10/19/2026

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Ability to pass a telemetry test
• Telemetry nursing experience preferred and/or required
• Epic electronic medical record experience required
• Strong clinical skills in IV starts, medication administration, lab monitoring, patient education, and general nursing care
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, and central line care preferred
• Must provide 2 professional references, including at least 1 manager, director, or supervisor reference
• Education must be from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric Progressive Care Unit patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support ongoing treatment plans
• Assess post-surgical and medical overflow patients and document care accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare partners
• Support patient education, wound care, oxygen therapy, and rapid response efforts when needed
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficient patient flow in a step-down setting
