Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding position requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and OH or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the ER Holding unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Typical patient ratio of 1:3
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, including ER experience (ER holding, observation, or MS/Tele experience also considered)
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; coworker references not accepted

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ER holding environment for a diverse patient population
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignments only after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible for travel assignments at this health system
• Requested time off must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less
