Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Endoscopy RN with expertise in advanced GI and pulmonary procedures for a role requiring independent function in a fast-paced endoscopy unit.

Details

• Endoscopy unit within a hospital setting
• Performs advanced endoscopy procedures including ERCP, EUS, bronchoscopy, and EBUS
• Bariatric procedures and ION Robot experience preferred
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, within windows ranging from 0600-1630
• On-call required for after-hours, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or LA) in hand upon consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
• Must be fully competent in advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP and EUS, and pulmonary procedures such as EBUS
• Skilled in administering and monitoring conscious sedation, including Propofol and Versed
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience with airway management and recovery from conscious and monitored anesthesia sedation
• Experience with specimen handling and labeling
• Up-to-date NURSYS report required for consideration

Additional Information

• Function independently across all areas of endoscopy including inpatient, outpatient, and portable/bedside cases
• Circulate during procedures and assist with equipment such as the bronchoscopy cart
• Must demonstrate strong professional values and integrate as a full-time team member
• No call-ins permitted once on assignment
• May be assigned to an emergency response team during declared emergency events, requiring presence onsite until relief arrives
• Two manager or supervisor references required prior to starting contract (charge RNs not accepted)
• Orientation held 5 days a week
• Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be considered
• Previous staff or in-house contractors must have a 1-year separation from the facility before returning as travelers
• RTO must be disclosed and discussed during interview
