Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Endoscopy RN capable of independently performing advanced endoscopic and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EBUS, and bronchoscopy.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient endoscopy center setting
- 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, within windows between 0600-1630
- On-call required for after-hours, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time
- No call-ins permitted
- Epic charting system preferred
- Performs advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, colonoscopy, and EGD
- Performs pulmonary procedures including bronchoscopy and EBUS
- Utilizes bronchoscopy cart and supplies
- Portable/bedside travel cases may be required
Requirements
- Active RN license, Compact or LA license required in hand upon submittal
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in endoscopy specialty required
- Must be able to function independently in all areas of endoscopy, including advanced procedures
- Experience with conscious sedation administration and monitoring required
- Experience with airway management and recovery from conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care
- Experience starting and maintaining IVs
- Experience with medication administration including Propofol, Versed, and reversal agents
- Experience circulating in endoscopy procedures
- Bariatric procedure and ION Robot experience preferred
- Prior endo tech experience a plus
- Up-to-date NURSYS report required with profile
- Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RNs not accepted)
Additional Information
- Must demonstrate full competency in all endoscopic and pulmonary procedures and behave consistent with facility mission and values
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring on-site presence during declared emergency events
- Orientation held five days per week
- RTO must be listed on profile and discussed during interview to avoid offer complications
- Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have been separated from the facility for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
- Does not accept local candidates; must reside more than 65 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers not specifically excluded
