Contract (13-Week, Temp-to-Hire) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift, Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | No Weekends, No Holidays, No On-Call
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during upper endoscopies, colonoscopies, polypectomies, biopsies, PEG placements, banding, balloon dilation, Bravo, and X-track procedures
- Perform high-level disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing of all procedural equipment in accordance with facility protocols
- Set up and maintain back table and procedure rooms prior to and between cases
- Work collaboratively with gastroenterologists and nursing staff in a high-volume outpatient endoscopy setting (approximately 34–36 procedures daily across 3 procedure rooms)
- Operate and maintain endoscopic equipment including processors, light sources, CO2 insufflators, and electrosurgical units
- Care for patient populations classified as ASA 1, 2, and 3
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an endoscopy center or GI Lab
- SGNA education completion for GI/Endoscopy OR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential with at least 3 years of endoscopy experience
- Current BLS certification
- Strong scope reprocessing skills, including high-level disinfection (HLD)
- Experience with colonoscopes, EGD scopes, EBUS, EUS, enteroscopes, ERCP scopes, fiber optics, and flex sigmoidoscopes
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Olympus equipment including CV-190 processor, CLV-190 light source, 190-series scopes, OER Pro reprocessor, Erbe cautery and electrosurgical unit, and CO2 insufflation systems
- Proficiency with EPIC and/or ProVation documentation systems
- Experience with back table setup and full procedure room setup in an outpatient endoscopy environment
