Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Nights location. This position involves providing acute nursing care to patients in a busy emergency department setting. The role requires delivering expert care during night shifts, with responsibilities including patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical procedures to ensure timely and effective treatment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/02/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Valid New York nursing license, at least 2 years of ER experience (may be screened with 1 year for manager consideration), certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). PALS certification must be obtained at time of submission. Prior travel experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: TNCC and ENPC certifications, CPR certifications from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, experience with unit-specific procedures including drips, infusions, phlebotomy, IV starts, EKGs, transports, and medication administration.
- Additional Information: Travelers will float to ED Observation Unit. No block scheduling will be approved. No holiday RTO. IVS to offer if RTO is 4 days or less, no holiday RTO, and at least 2 years experience in the specialty. Unit specifics include a 70-bed unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, serving a diverse patient population. The facility offers advanced services including cardiac, vascular, thoracic medicine, neurology, endocrinology, and psychiatric crisis intervention, with a dedicated mental health crisis stabilization unit operational 24/7.
