Job Summary

Emergency Room Nurse (ER) Location: Long Beach. This position involves providing urgent care in a level II trauma center, utilizing advanced emergency nursing skills and certifications. The role ensures high-quality patient care during night shifts, with an emphasis on trauma and emergency procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 3x12 hour or 4x12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC all required.
• Education and Experience: Minimum of 2.5 years of experience in a large level II trauma center; 2.0 years of emergency room experience required.
• Required Qualifications: Active California nursing license, Epic Electronic Medical Record proficiency, and at least 2.5 years of experience in a large trauma facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Ventilated Patients care, and Pediatric Emergency Department experience.
• Responsibilities include managing arterial lines, blood products, ventilated patients, traumatic injuries, stroke and neuro-trauma cases, and utilizing appropriate PPE and isolation precautions.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be able to float within the hospital based on census needs, and RTO requests must be included at the time of application.
