Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a Level 4 Trauma Center The organization is seeking an experienced ER Nurse to join their team for a temporary assignment. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment, primarily working night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine and be capable of managing variable patient presentations effectively.
Job Details
- Certifications Required: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), TNCC
- Education Requirements: No specific degree requirement, but must hold a valid license to practice within the organizations state
- Locations Requirements: Must have an active license in Michigan
- Years of Experience: 2 years of ER experience required
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Responsibilities include responding to variable emergency conditions such as traumas, STEMI, strokes, MVAs, and farm-related injuries, with on-call support from ER physicians and mid-level providers.
- Additional details: Staff will be responsible for patient triage, reading strips, operating monitors, and assisting with various emergency procedures. Orientation includes computer-based training, department-specific policies, and floor orientation.
- Note: Candidates must have worked for Marshfield within the last 6 months to be eligible, and all clinicians are required to clock in and out at the facility.
