Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in Madison, WI. This role involves providing urgent and emergent care to a high acuity patient population in a designated Level I Trauma Center. The ER team coordinates closely with specialty services, emergency medical teams, and regional hospitals to deliver advanced care for complex conditions.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) or Compact State RN license, two years of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last three years including adult and pediatric populations, Epic electronic health record experience, additional certifications including BLS, PALS, ACLS (American Heart Association), and TNCC.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience and Level II Trauma Center experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry examination prior to start, demonstrating knowledge of lethal rhythms with at least 80% accuracy in both adult and pediatric assessments. The facility operates as a Magnet-designated hospital, ranked as Wisconsins #1 hospital. Transportation options include permit parking via UW Transportation or other available options. The assignment spans from 10/12/2026 to 01/11/2027, with orientation hours totaling 20.
