Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a busy facility, responsible for providing high-quality emergency care in a critical environment. The role involves working in a fast-paced setting with a mixture of patient populations, adhering to clinical protocols and ensuring patient safety. This position requires flexibility for rotating shifts and active certification in necessary specialties.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 24 months of current Emergency Room or Emergency Department experience; Iowa licensed or licensed under a compact/multistate agreement; EPIC electronic medical record experience; active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and NIH Stroke Scale certifications; TNCC certification; valid drivers license; ability to work 1-2 of the upcoming winter holidays.
- Preferred Qualifications: Active PALS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications; recent travel experience within the last 18 months; demonstration of excellent performance evaluations or references from relevant supervisory staff.
- Additional Information: Candidates must meet all clinical competency requirements outlined in their skills checklist for Emergency Room / Emergency Department. Experience with drips and titrations, scrubs in black, navy blue, or Caribbean blue, and float responsibilities at the specified location are essential. Orientation is scheduled for 10/5 and 10/12.
- Submission Requirements: Phone call or text interview from a 405 area code; confirmation of Iowa or multistate license and active certifications; submission of professional references from within 24 months; drivers license document.
