Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a high-volume Level II trauma center on a night shift schedule requiring NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • 101-bed Emergency Care Center within a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
  • High-volume ED with over 100,000 annual visits
  • Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
  • Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • Uses Baxter pumps and GE monitors
  • Documentation via Cerner EMR
  • Every other weekend scheduling required, no block scheduling available
  • No floating outside the ED but must be open to floating to all ED sections
  • Support staff includes techs, unit clerks, and cardiac monitoring personnel

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
  • Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high-volume ED experience required
  • Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
  • ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required

  • Provide direct patient care across all sections of a busy, high-acuity Emergency Department
  • Deliver care aligned with AIDET and patient experience standards, including regular updates to patients and communication boards
  • Work within a team known for strong collaboration and a welcoming culture
  • Serve a diverse, multicultural patient population representing over 120 languages
  • Navy scrub dress code required
  • Attendance policy provided on first day of assignment
  • Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
