**Join Our Thriving Emergency Department: Travel RN Opportunity!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** 7101 SPID, Corpus Christi, TX - **Unit:** Emergency Department - **Floor:** 1st - **Building:** Bay Area Emergency Department **Unit Highlights:** - **Number of Beds:** 16 with 8 hall chairs - **Staffing:** 6-7 per shift - **Day Shift:** 1 charge, 1 triage, 4-5 nurses (one mid-shift), 1 Ultrasound tech, 1-2 techs - **Night Shift:** 1 charge, 1 triage, 4-5 nurses (one mid-shift), Ultrasound tech from 7 PM to morning, 1 tech - **Patient Ratios:** 1:4 for low acuity ESI 4 & 5, may take 6 **Equipment & Technology:** - Cardiac Monitors - Baxter IV Pumps - HP’s - Tonopen - Meditech for electronic medical records with vital signs flowing into charts **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - **Must Have:** - Compassion, urgency, and teamwork skills - Level II or III trauma experience - TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS certifications - **Preferred:** - CEN or TCRN certifications - CPI certification - Over two years of Emergency Department experience **Typical Procedures:** - Patient assessments - Documentation - Medication administration - Wound care and splinting - IV placements - Urine collection - Lab draws - Care for ESI levels 5 through 1 **Dress Code:** - **Scrub Color:** Royal Blue (preferred) - **Fun aspect:** Wear a team jersey on Sundays for some seasonal team spirit (e.g., Astro’s, Cowboys) **Unit Guidelines:** - **Shift Huddles:** Mandatory at 7 AM and 7 PM for all staff unless providing critical care at that time - **Mandatory Training:** EMTALA **Awards and Recognition:** - Rising in patient satisfaction and employee engagement! - Timely care for Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Trauma patients **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
